The day started off with MBA 10 students sending in a PowerPoint presentation that can be summarized in these words BE AFRAID! BE VERY AFRAID!!
They also advised the MBA 11 guys to apologize to their beautiful ladies in
advance. But only time will tell if the MBA 10 guys will have to swallow up their words or not.

Today’s match is very crucial as it officially kicks off the
2012/2013 MBA football season and starts off the football rivalry between both
football classes. If MBA 11 wins it will totally frustrate the MBA 10 squad and
make nonsense of their noise making while a loss to the MBA 11 team will make
true the threat made by the MBA 10 team.
The match kicked off at exactly 4.30 pm and the entire duration was for 60 minutes. The first half ended without a goal but a major show of dominance by the MBA 10 squad while the MBA 11 team was on the defensive throughout.

The second half commenced without much of a change and continued for another 10 minutes then there was a "super" sub made by the MBA 10 bench which brought in Tolu Olaoye and Segun Dada for Chukwuka Nwagbara and Uzoma Okoro. 5 minutes after, Bolarinwa takes a run from the right back into the MBA 11 box and wins a penalty which Segun Dada stepped up and converted the chance, sending the goalie to the far right hand corner of the net and also scoring the first goal of the season. He probably will also hold the record of scoring the first goal against the MBA 11 team.
3 minutes later, Segun Adebayo sent a long ball in after receiving a pass from Jude Okolo, Segun Dada gets the ball and give Kunle Oladele who then crossed it in for Tolu Olaoye to score the second goal of the match. This resulted in a loud celebration from the MBA 10 camp. Unfortunately for them, it also resulted in a loss of concentration as the MBA 11 strikers wasted no time in getting their first goal through Kingsley Osuchi making the score line 2-1 in favour of MBA 10.
5 more minutes to the end of the game and MBA 10's Ozue Ezeife was substituted for was substituted for Oyewale Akeredolu and after receiving a long pass, Segun Dada passed the ball to Oyewale Akeredolu in the 18 yards box which he narrowly misses and it goes off the MBA 11 defender Ayowole Adelegan's legs to result in an own goal. After a few minutes the final whistle was blown and the game ended 3-1 in favour of MBA 10.
The MBA 11 though losing, proved that they are not in anyway an that can be walked over. They have given the MBA 10 team a reason to rethink their attacking strategy as the next game will not be half as easy as this for them.
